Roulot's 2009 Meursault Les Tillets is really exceptional, opening in the glass with aromas of wheat toast, hazelnut and green orchard fruit, framed by light reduction that dissipates with aeration. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, sappy and intense, with an elegantly glossy attack, good mid-palate depth and plenty of youthful grip on the long, vibrant finish. A terrific achievement in the 2009 vintage.

Pale lemon-yellow. Complex, lively aromas of citrus fruit, hazelnut and stone; very Meursault. At once supple and penetrating, with rich flavors of ripe peach and pineapple complicated by nut oil and a leesy note. An edge of lemony acidity gives grip to the finish. Following the Clos de Mon Plaisir and Luchets, this conveys a stronger impression of terroir. Lovely wine.
The 2009 Meursault Tillets is subtle, understated and classy. Aromatics, fruit and structure are all woven together beautifully in this soft, seamless wine. The Tillets is silk and elegance personified. I especially like the way the aromatics explode on the finish. This is another dazzling showing.
Bright lemon-yellow. Highly perfumed, pure aromas of orange blossom and crushed stone. Intensely flavored and tightly wound, with a good bit of gas currently blocking the wine's flesh. The tight lemon and mineral flavors are framed by very firm acidity, which extends the aftertaste and leaves the mouth refreshed. Roulot picked these vines early: this wine now has 12.8% alcohol and 4.3 grams of acidity. The Luchets may be more minerality but this is a terrific classic Meursault with lovely lift and perfume. Finishes very long and tactile.
