Tasting notes
Good bright medium red. Inviting aromas of raspberry, crushed stone and smoky minerality. Round, sweet, silky and fine-grained; showing less piercing fruit today than the village Vosne but significantly more texture and volume. Finishes broad and lightly saline, with substantial ripe, horizontal tannins buffered by the wine's mid-palate richness. "It wouldn't be criminal to drink this wine now," said Anne Gros.

(tasted from tank): Good medium red. Raspberry, blueberry, minerals and licorice on the nose, complicated by musky soil tones and perked up by orange zest. Can't quite match the razor-sharp cut of the Vosne-Romanee, but this is riper and smoother, with lovely flesh and good medicinal reserve to its sappy cherry flavor. Finishes long and ripely tannic.
