Score 89/100 · Robert Parker, Oct 1996
The 1995 Cote Rotie reveals a deeper color than the 1994, a more classic structure, with more obvious acidity, higher tannin, and slightly less alcohol. It has not yet developed the tell-tale bacon fat, smoky aromas, but there is plenty of cassis fruit. The color possesses excellent saturation, but the wine is closed, structured, and far less flattering than in the 1994. Once again, it is an excellent, stylish, medium-bodied Cote Rotie that is tightly-knit, but promising. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
