Tasting notes
Deep ruby/purple with a sweet black cherry/currant nose intermixed with spice, chocolate, and loamy, earthy notes, a hint of espresso also makes an appearance in this medium-bodied, jammy, modern-style St.-Emilion that is seamless and ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years.

Good deep ruby. Inky black raspberry, black cherry, violet and bitter chocolate on the nose. Very firm and suave in the mouth; a wine of lovely finesse. I find a bit less minerality and more sheer fruit here than in the excellent '99 version. Quite perfumed in the mouth and not at all overextracted. Finishes long and smooth. Intriguing wine.
