Mid lively rich red. Rather weak nose and generally just a bit too soft and moue in the middle. The acidity and the tannins are beginning to dominate the fruit in the middle. The sweetness is just a little too oaky rather than fruity perhaps. Not the best buy but by no means a disgrace. (JR)
Complex, evolved, mature, cedar, spice box, and black currant aromas emerge from this ruby/garnet-colored offering. Soft, with sweet tannin, spicy oak, and ripe fruit, but no significant depth, this is an open-knit, attractive Pauillac to enjoy now and over the next 7-8 years.
