Score 89/100 · Drink 2015-2022, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2012
The 2009 Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon has a well-defined nose of blackberry, raspberry, mint and a touch of juniper berry. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, grainy tannins, good fruit concentration with tobacco infused, masculine, dry black fruit on the austere but nicely defined finish. Drink 2015-2022. Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Domingo Fernandez in the Maipo Valley and was one of the pioneers for planting European grape varieties. Importer: Palm Bay International, Boca Raton, FL; tel.
