Score 88/100 · Drink 2017-2027, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Mar 2017

Tasted at Château Rauzan-Gassies. The 2009 Croizet Bages, a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, has a more cohesive bouquet compared to the 2008: blackberry, boysenberry, a touch of graphite and autumn leaves. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, nicely judged acidity, a little rustic perhaps but here, there is more matière on the finish. This is certainly the best Croizet-Bages in recent years. Tasted June 2015.

Very slightly noticeable VA. Leathery. Not the stability of some. Sour finish. (JR)

Dark, blackish crimson. Scented and energetic. Vosne style! Pretty light in terms of tannins – another fruit-juice cocktail like its stablemate Rauzan-Gassies – but not unattractive, Just rather green tannins. (JR)
