1982 Boyd Cantenac

The 1982 is virtually identical in quality to the 1983 Boyd-Cantenac, but is styled differently. The 1982 has a dark ruby color with a trace of amber, a rich, fragrant, ripe black cherry bouquet, unctuous, fat, fleshy flavors, full body, and moderate tannins. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Last tasted, 1/90.

Full red-ruby. Exotic, roasted aromas of plum, spice cake and chocolate. Then fairly intensely flavored but lean and rather ungenerous. With modest flesh, the finish comes across as somewhat dry.
