Tasting notes
Light, with straightforward, fruity, slightly sweet flavors, the 1987 would make an attractive aperitif wine. It does not have the requisite weight, sweetness or complexity to stand by itself as a dessert wine. Anticipated maturity: Now-1995. Last tasted, 3/92.

The 1987 Raymond-Lafon is probably a few years past its best on the nose and lacks fruit intensity (it has a hard job following the excellent 1990). The palate has a touch of sour lemon on the entry, not quite as pure as I would have liked, with some dryness creeping in on the finish. Bottles should be consumed in the near future.
