Probably the best effort I have tasted from Lynch-Moussas ... in my career! Deep ruby/purple, with a sweet nose of creme de cassis intermixed with licorice, dried herbs, and vanilla, the wine is rich in fruit, has good glycerin, silky tannin, and a nice, spicy, layered finish. This will certainly have broad appeal, and it is good to see this property turn out something this interesting. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2015.
Very pretty aromas of crushed fruit, with raspberry and blackberry character. Full-bodied, yet fine and silky, with a long, delicious finish. Very balanced red. I can't remember tasting a better Lynch-Moussas. Best after 2009. 20,000 cases made. James Suckling,Wine Spectator2003

This Fifth Growth Pauillac estate was purchased by the Castéja family – owners of Ch. Batailley – in 1919. In recent years they have been investing in the property, focused on driving quality forward.
