Medium-straw. Minerally, smoky citrus and white peach aromas, with pungent jasmine, magnolia and blond tobacco notes. Fleshy peach and pear flavors are strongly marked by a smoky, mineral quality and braced by gentle acidity. Finishes ripe and creamy, with a late kick of tangy minerals. This is gorgeous.

About the producer

Cotat
Domaine Francois Cotat

Sancerre’s leading producer, François Cotat is known for his idiosyncratic, age-worthy expressions of Sauvignon Blanc on Kimmeridgian soils, not to mention his prized rosé. Sometimes denied appellation status for their atypical style, these wines are some of the most collectable in the region.
