Hot, dry year. Very dark cherry red. Still dark but fruitier and fresher than the Latricières-Chambertin 2005 shown in the masterclass. Big, sweet and a little formless with a dry end. (JR)

CS Very smoky, almost a touch of curry spice. Savoury, dry and slightly dissipated finish. Fine dry tannins but almost a little bitter just now – may just be very youthful. (JH)
