Good deep red. Pure, nuanced, rather cool aromas of black cherry, licorice, minerals and flowers. The ripe but quite firm in the mouth, with raspberry and mineral flavors accented by a peppery note. Finishes with dusty, tight tannins that arrive late. This needs several years of bottle aging, or a vigorous decanting.

Good deep red. Sappy aromas of cherry, licorice and leather. A step up in fruit and texture from the Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges, with firm minerality giving grip to the silky-sweet flavors. Finishes with substantial broad tannins. Very promising; perhaps my score will prove to be conservative.
