Spicy, minty, peppery nose offers very good lift if not the exotic ripeness of most '03s. Indeed, Pernot notes that this cuvee included some second-generation grapes. Then fat, rich and peachy; large-scaled and sweet. Slightly edgy acids and a fresh taste of grapefruit give shape to the wine. Is this just a bit blurry on the back?

Lively aromas of lime, peach and white flowers. Then fat and sweet but rather reticent, even a bit youthfully aggressive, with some acidity yet to be absorbed. This has plenty of volume, but today I don't find a lot of flavor complexity. These frosted vines produced fruit with more acidity, noted Pernot, adding that the wine went through its malolactic fermentation later and is less advanced today.
