Score 92+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2004
Pure, nuanced nose combines peach, pear, minerals, flowers and a hint of candied citrus peel. Tightly wound and very intensely flavored, with strong but harmonious acidity and lovely inner-mouth floral perfume. Penetrating, peachy finish leaves the palate refreshed. This can't match Pernot's Batard-Montrachet for volume, but I love this style. From a blend of 12- and 40-year-old vines.
