This sleeper of the vintage offers a dark ruby/purple color as well as a sweet bouquet of loamy soil, black cherry jam, truffles, and resiny characteristics. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy, soft, and irresistible, it can be consumed now and over the next decade.

Medium ruby-red. Blueberry and violet on the perfumed nose. Gentle for a young wine from this property, with seductive, moderately intense flavors of black raspberry, espresso and smoke. Slightly medicinal but nicely pliant, with sweet tannins.
Sweet, but rather simple nose. Round, amazingly supple tannins! Very atypical for the vintage. Extremely well made but a bit of a hole in the middle where the flavour should be. (JR)
About the producer
Close to the Pomerol church, the Labruyère family purchased this property in 1994. They immediately set to work, restructuring the vineyard, renovating the winery and allowing the property to emerge from the shadows.
