Sweet toastiness. Supple. A bit too easy? (JR)
The deep dark ruby-colored 1999 is an excellent du Tertre. It exhibits aromas of herbs, leather, licorice, red and black currants, sweet fruit on the attack, medium body, and a round, charming, pretty finish. Enjoy it now and over the next 10-12 years.

About the producer

Until recently owned by the Albada Jelgersma family (along with Giscours), Ch. du Tertre is one of the oldest estates in the region – with a history stretching back 1,000 years. Classified as a Fifth Growth, its 54 hectares of vines sit on high gravel outcrops in Margaux.
