Tasting notes
Lucia comes from a 3.06-hectare vineyard, part of which was planted in 1901 to 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wine expresses licorice, black cherry and spice aromas. Plushly textured and filled with ripe jammy berries, with its open style, this wine should be fun to drink shortly after release. winecellarinsider.com

Very sweet and rich and almost caricature-like. Tarry. Hard work. Such dry concentration, it seems a long way from the succulence of the sort of claret I like. But those who value density alone should love this. jancisrobinson.com
This opulent, full-bodied wine does not show much complexity, but it offers loads of fruit, glycerin and light tannins in a straightforward yet very satisfying style. Drink it over the next decade. Drink: 2013 - 2023. Wine Advocate #205 Feb 2013
