(just the second crop from these recently replanted vines) Less pure and more musky on the nose than the Puligny, hinting at truffle. Then round, fat and sweet in the mouth, conveying a more glyceral texture but less cut than the Puligny villages Not a particularly mineral style. This is 14.5% alcohol and came from very ripe grapes picked at the beginning of the harvest.

(from a 2003 planting in the premier cru Macharelles) Smoke, honey and flowers on the nose, plus a suggestion of candied fruits. Fat and sweet but with modest complexity and depth. Plump and round but not particularly fruity or minerally. Slightly blurry with alcohol.
