2005 Charmes Chambertin

An almost surprisingly open and accessible aromatic profile of ripe dark berry and black cherry fruit aromas with plenty of Gevrey character merge into rich, full and very generous sweet and textured medium full-bodied flavors that possess plenty of punch. While presently very approachable, there is a firm core of buried tannins that will probably cause this to close up once in bottle.
