Score 87/100 · Drink 2015-2024, Robert Parker, Jun 2015

An excellent nose of forest floor, black fruits and spice is followed by a medium-bodied, rich, surprisingly concentrated, full and complete wine with tannins still present, but certainly soft enough to provide drinkability. This is a sleeper of the vintage and a delicious wine that is still capable of another decade of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: now-2024.

A bit animal on the nose. Loose, quite easy but pretty tough tannins on the finish. Not charming enough for early drinking but I wonder whether it has enough fruit for a prolonged life. (JR)
