Tasting notes
The 1994 Suduiraut has always had an attractive bouquet that punches above the weight of the vintage's reputation: dried quince and barley sugar, the Sauvignon Blanc impressing upon you more malic fruit, the gooseberries that I have remarked upon before. The palate is straightforward with a citric, Sauvignon Blanc-driven entry, William's pear and a touch of tangy marmalade that is beginning to show some dryness. Drink soon. 96gl/L residual sugar. Tasted from a bottle from my own personal cellar.
