Tasting notes
Tropical fruit, nectarine, peach, white flowers, mint, pastry and sweet spices wrap around the palate in the 2011 Gaia & Rey. Rich and layered in the glass, the 2011 captures the essence of the year in its flashy, open personality. Leave it to Angelo Gaja and his team to make one of the most polished, refined Chardonnays in Italy.

Good bright yellow. Deep aromas of peach and papaya, plus a hint of resiny oak. Fat, ripe and sweet; round and voluminous. A distinctly lush version of this chardonnay, with the oak element carrying through to the persistent finish.
