Screwcap. Pale gold. Very broad and waxy – much riper than most on the nose and then very structured and rather mainstream on the palate. Same sort of structure as a Puligny somehow! (A particularly good value alternative for white burgundy lovers?) Spreads right across the palate. The biggest of the Louvières in this vertical tasting. (JR)
Fresh, zesty, hint of toasty oak. Quite luscious fruit. Lots of energy. (JR)
About the producer
Wine has been made at this estate since the 1300s, but its modern history begins when the Lurton family purchased it in 1965. The property was in disrepair, but the Lurtons have restored the château, winery and vineyards.
