Bright, fresh red and black fruit. Sappy oak. Fresh but a little bit light in the middle. Firm and drying a little on the finish. (JH)

The former proprietor of Chateau Talbot, Thierry Rustmann, is now the owner of this property and he appears to have pushed up the level of quality. The 2008's sweet black cherry, licorice, caramel, and mocha characteristics form a plush, succulent style of Pomerol that exhibits medium to full body, good purity, and a fine finish. Drink it over the next decade.
