Tasting notes
Spicy aromas and flavors of raspberry, mocha and smoke. Sweet, lush and thick, but with excellent lift to its sweet, pliant flavors. A penetrating brown spice character contributes to an impression of sappiness. Finishes with lush tannins, lingering notes of smoke and meat, and impressive persistence. Loads of personality here.

Good bright red-ruby. Sexy aromas of dark berries and smoked meat (this cuvee features a new barrel). Suave and supple, with black plum, mineral and truffle flavors accented by exotic spices and dried herbs. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and notes of truffle, smoke and spice. This is in a cooler style that works for the vintage, and yet it seems rather oaky in the context of this cellar.
