Vibrant dark crimson. A little tart but with some ripeness on palate entry. Not quite the fully evolved whole I had hoped. A tad brutal but it still has a way to go. (JR)

Smoky and just slightly meaty and an intense, pure cedar aroma. Leafy cassis on the palate but in a refreshing not an unripe way. Moderate length, tannins are rounded but still have a bit of grip.  (JH)

A big time sleeper of the vintage, the 2004 Gazin exhibits aromas of cedar wood, plum pudding, sweet cherries, figs, and black currants. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and elegant with substantial depth as well as terrific aging potential, it should be at its peak between 2009-2022.
