Score 86/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Good dark red. Blackcurrant, licorice and fresh herbs on the nose. Dense and bright, but a green streak gives it a slightly disjointed sweet/sour quality. A wine of modest flavor development and complexity, and distinctly less successful than either the '94 or '93.
