Tasting notes
Saturated ruby. Cherry liqueur, blackberry, cola and a vanilla nuance on the highly perfumed nose. Juicy, palate-coating black and blue fruit flavors show a suave melding of power and energy and pick up an exotic floral pastille accent on the back half. Finishes smooth, sappy and impressively long, with harmonious tannins and repeating cherry and floral notes. Aged in 40% new French oak barrels.

The 2019 Fleur de Solène, aged in 30% new French oak, is a blend of 54% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Grenache. It has a medium ruby-purple color and youthfully sleek blackberries, cracked pepper, violet and sweet spice. The medium-bodied palate matches lift and intensity, and stony mineral notes support the long finish.
The deep ruby-hued 2019 Fleur De Solene is an interesting blend of 54% Syrah, 25% Cabernet sauvignon, and the balance Grenache. Lots of blackberry and cassis fruits as well as cedarwood, tobacco, and sweet herb notes emerge from the glass, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with nicely integrated oak and a round, polished, undeniably delicious style that will evolve for a decade.
