Medium red. Deep, ripe aromas of redcurrant, smoke and earth. Fat, sweet and sexy, with flavors of plum, earth, smoke and Oriental spices. Nicely supple, broad wine with very good persistence. Rouget says this is closing down today. IÂ’d wait five years or so.

Cask sample Very, very smoky. Fireworks. Rich. Very big and bold. Full and massive and most impressive. Very full and rich and brûlée. Sumptuous, charred torrefaction notes on the nose. Very tough end. Great depth. Long. (JR)

Medium red. Smoky red fruits, spices and smoked meat on the perfumed nose. Juicy, scented and precise, with rather delicate red berry and spice flavors. Persistent, firm and subtle on the aftertaste.
