(this wine was the first to finish its malolactic fermentation, at the beginning of January): Medium ruby-red. Aromas of blackberry, violet, leather and licorice, accented by a minty note. Juicy, intense and dry but less dense than the Côtes de Nuits-Villages Les Vignottes, with its dark fruit and leather flavors showing a repeating minty element. A rather rustic style of Chambolle-Musigny, with substantial tannins and a leathery aspect. This wine was made from a tiny crop of thick-skinned grapes, noted Meunier.

(50% of the blend is from Les Condemennes and 25% each is from Pas de Chat and Derrière le Four). Reduction. The mouth feel of the attractively well-detailed and vibrant yet rich and velvety medium weight flavors is notably finer thanks to the relatively fine grain of the supporting tannins on the dusty and firm finale.
