2022 Bailey Ranch Zinfandel

Crushed raspberry mingles with clove, dried orange peel and rose as the 2022 Zinfandel Lone Madrone Estate blossoms in the glass. The wine is seductively silken in character, balancing savory and sweet with tart red berry fruit and salty mineral tones as a tinge of balsamic spice emerges on the close. The palate is saturated in primary concentration, with nuances of licorice and blackcurrant echoing through the long, staining finale. This is the first vintage of the estate Zinfandel, and I can only imagine what will be in store as Lone Madrone continues to perfect their process in creating this wine. Well done.
