Tasting notes
Layered and rich on the nose with roasted nuts, dried figs, roasted dark fruit and incense. The palate is silky on entry, with the same layered fruit and spice. The supple nature of this wine makes it very moreish. Hedonistic and a little warming, but with real complexity and intrigue. (TP)

Brick red. Subtle and delightful aroma of dried red fruits and a touch of spice, nutty too, plus a roasted coffee impression. The spirit a little more present in this younger wine but fully integrated. As it opens, dried apricots, bitter toffee, but still with the foundation of red fruits that the older colheitas no longer show. Elegant, beautifully fresh on the palate, with very fine tannins and great persistence. (JH)
