Tasting notes
The 2017 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard is creamy and voluptuous. Plump fruit, silky tannins and impeccable balance make for a compelling and delicious Zinfandel. Dark cherry, leather, smoke, licorice and incense all build into the flamboyant finish. This is another striking wine from Turley. There is plenty to like in the 2017. Best of all, it will drink well pretty much out of the gate.

From fruit planted at an elevation of 2,400 feet at the top of Howell Mountain, the deep purple-black 2017 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard features black cherry liqueur, crème de cassis, dried violets, warm baking spice and baked blue fruits on the nose. Full-bodied, it packs in the black and blue fruits with very pretty perfumed earth notes, framed by firm tannins and great freshness, finishing very long and dense. 1,450 cases produced.
The 2017 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard is dark, sensual and inviting. Sweet red cherry, plum, pomegranate and rose petal add character to this pliant, supple Zinfandel. Silky tannins give the Dragon a suave feel that will make the 2017 virtually impossible to resist, even in its youth.
