Tasting notes
The 2023 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley comes from vines planted in 1997, and the wine was matured for 16 months in 60% new French oak. The nose is bursting with expressive scents of red cherry, cranberry, licorice, hibiscus, tobacco and forest floor, and it becomes more detailed as it airs in the glass. The full-bodied palate explodes with layer after layer of fragrant, spicy red fruit. It’s structured by abundant, dusty tannins and fresh acidity and has a long, complex finish. It overdelivers for an appellation-wide bottling. 776 cases were made.
