All three 1988 Barolos were outstanding. It is hard to pick a favorite since they are young and unevolved. The 1988 Barolo-Brunate is the biggest, most masculine and full-bodied of this trio. It is also the most concentrated and tannic. If all the tannins melt away, it will have the highest potential for longevity. If you can afford to, purchase several bottles of each. These immensely impressive wines are the finest I have yet tasted from Roberto Voerzio. It has been a number of years since I have tasted this producer's wines, but I was immensely impressed with his current offerings. Importer: Viva Vino Imports, Eddystone, PA.
