Tasting notes
The Chalumaux vines are the domaine’s oldest, planted in 1954 lending further intensity to the vineyard’s wines that are a typically big and bold style of Puligny-Montrachet. The nose is fresh and vibrant, honey, delicately nutty, white blossom and ripe lemon. Stone fruit, quite fleshy, excellent purity and definition – more flinty than previous vintages? Quite rounded and complete even for such early stage, impressive freshness and extract. Harmonious. Classic and expressive, very good indeed.
