The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has an elegant, precise bouquet, one of my picks among Jadot’s 2018s Gevreys. So pretty! The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, fleshy and silky-smooth. The caressing finish demonstrates more oak integration than the Estournelles or the Lavaux. Excellent.

Aromas of cassis, orange rind, smoked meats and loamy soil preface the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, ample and layered wine that's concentrated and textural, with fine definition and a long, aromatic finish. This is another of the high points of the négoce portfolio this year.
Fermented in vats for 3–4 weeks before maturation in oak for 15 months. Danish pastries and roasted plums on the nose, very sweet and spicy. Fleshy and opulent on the palate, with great intensity of fruit. The tannins build and offer depth, structure and savour. Long and expansive on the finish. (TP)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
