Tasting notes
The 2001 Barolo Cannubi, a medium ruby, displays a perfumed nose of toasted oak, spices, flowers, mint and minerals. It is a medium-bodied, feminine Barolo that shows excellent persistence on the palate, with pretty flavors of ripe red fruit, finishing with good length and balance. It will benefit from a few years in the bottle to integrate its new oak tannins.

Full, bright ruby-red. Very subtle, pure aromas of bitter cherry, raspberry, rose petal and white truffle. Sweet, delicate and perfumed in the mouth; youthfully tight but offers compelling floral lift and subtle sweetness. Very light on its feet, with wonderfully sappy red fruit flavors. Finishes with noble tannins and a lingering flavor of maraschino cherry. The finest of an impressive group of Barolos from this producer.
