Tasting notes
The dark ruby-colored 1997 Bonnes Mares offers beguiling aromas of waxy black and red fruits, fresh herbs, spicy oak, and roasted coffee. Its full-bodied, velvety textured personality explodes on the palate with copious quantities of jammy, yet well-delineated fruit flavors. This is an awesome wine, thick, dense, well-structured, balanced, harmonious, and enormously complex. While it is super to drink, it has the potential to evolve and gain in complexity over the next decade. Importer: A Peter Vezan Selection, Paris fax #011-33-1-42-55-42-93.
