1990 Deutz Brut Millésimé Cuvée William Deutz

55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier. Delayed by the courier so less chilled than other vintages.  Disgorged 2004, TA 5.1 g/l (expressed as sulphuric), pH c 3. Slightly corked so it is not so easy to judge but it does seem quite youthful. Deep gold. Smoky, lightly bready and honeyed. Broad, rich and creamy. Much more like the 2000. Slight sense of sweetness on the finish, though this could be because the wine is less chilled. (JH)
