Tasting notes
Revealing a deeper ruby/purple hue, the 2019 Pinot Noir Single-Block Reserve East Slope showed brilliantly, with lots of rich black cherry and darker berry-like fruits supporting notes of roasted herbs, forest floor, Asian spices, and earth. It’s rich and medium-bodied, with a sappy, grippy texture and a great finish. Give bottles another year or two, then enjoy over the following 7-8 years. This is an impressive, age-worthy Pinot Noir from Carneros with lots of class.
