Aromas of licorice, damp earth, tree bark, mushrooms, soil, cherries, plums, and currants emerge from this dark ruby-colored 2001. Medium-bodied and elegant, with moderate tannin in the finish, it lacks concentration, but should provide pleasure between 2005-2015.

Red-ruby. Expressive nose combines redcurrant, tobacco, leather, game and smoky oak. Sweet, plump and concentrated, with a silky texture and very good vinosity. Finishes with smooth, horizontal tannins and lovely aromatic persistence.
