Pale gold. Very fine bead indeed. Light rather than heavy on the palate although there is definitely some autolysis, and something lightly floral, on the nose. Satisfying dry, very persistent finish. Quite different from and arguably more refreshing than champagne. Very fine. (JR)

The 2004 Brut Cuvee Annamaria Clementi emerges from the glass with a rich tapestry of brioche, honey, peaches, apricots, flowers and French oak. Floral notes reappear on the soft, caressing finish. The 2004 is an attractive vintage for the Annamaria Clementi, but not quite as dazzling as I had hoped.
