Tasting notes
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot. 18 months in (80% new) French oak barriques. Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Iodine nose, so Margaret River? Quite sweet start. Very well balanced and not overdone. A lightness of touch. Though too subtle to overwhelm others. Slightly salty. (JR)

70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep cherry red. Brooding spicy dark fruit. This has a wonderful combination of fruit sweetness and textured refinement. There’s dark fruit like cassis and then a brighter note of red fruit. Dry finesse and a long finish. (JH)
Fine cassis fragrance with tobacco and cedar – this could easily be mistaken for good Bordeaux. Expert fragrance but the finish is just a tad underwhelming, without the drive and complexity expected from the nose. (RH)
