Score 89/100 · Drink 2024-2036, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Jun 2024
A more classic year after the heat of 2003, and even on the colour we are back to a cooler red, edge of mint leaf, jasmine, camomile, black tea, cassis, a little less intensity through the mid palate with an attractive reserve and balance, and touch of bite to the tannins. 100% new oak, then 6 months in vat. Michel-Bernard Couasnon consultant.

Harvest date 27 Sep-14 Oct; yield 67 hl/ha; vineyard area 71.04 ha Quite dark crimson. Lightly scented. A very good effort for this difficult vintage but with rather drying tannins. Hard work! This wine demands time. (JR)

Riper than most on the nose. A good attempt, but the shortcomings (less than full ripeness) of the vintage are alas obvious. (JR)
