Aromatic nose offers citrus peel, nut butter and herbal nuances. Suave and fresh but a bit unforthcoming in the mouth, with firm acids framing the citrus flavors. Not a fleshy style but offers a lovely sugar/acid balance and a brisk finish.

Cask Sample Creamy and rich. Very fresh and substantial. Quite grainy-textured. Still chewy. A wine to decant. These are long-term wines. (JR)

Very sweet aromas of candied citrus fruits lifted by flowers; slightly exotic. Then fat, sweet and on the soft side, but with some firming stony minerality underneath. Very old vines in a warm site lend themselves to a later bottling, notes Javillier, as "the surmuri element calms down after the bottling."
