Tasting notes
AP number 23 22. A touch more fumy than the Felsenberg, gorgeously smoky/mineral first impression. Mouth-watering lemon and grapefruit tension on the palate, firmly structured by the acidity and perfectly balanced by the fruit and the savoury smokiness. (JH)

Complex and deep with none of the Frühlingsplätzchen's playfulness. Smoke, cassis, and citrus. Heavy outlines of dark spice and stone on a creamy and concentrated palate. Put this one away for a while. (PS)
The 2021 Stromberg GG offers a bright and pure, enormously radiant and earthy/herbal bouquet of crushed porphyry rocks and concentrated Riesling berry aromas intermingled with iodine notes. Great purity mixed with intensity and complexity. Full-bodied, refined and enormously salty on the palate, this is a compact, fresh and challenging dry Riesling with elegant and rich fruit, great density and no makeup at all. This is a bone dry but juicy wine that represents a long-distance runner with salty grip and tension. Tasted as a sample at the domaine in July 2022.
Take a trip under the volcano! Still a touch of youthful, leesy funk, but that doesn’t distract from the fascinating hibiscus, flint and wild-herb aromas. How this concentration of minerality can be crammed into a silhouette this sleek is also a mystery to me, but clearly it’s possible! Diamond-bright finish that must be tasted to be believed. From organically grown grapes with Fair\'n Green certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2023.
