The 2006 Côte Rôtie La Landonne continues to show brilliantly, with gorgeous notes of dried spices, black currants, cured meats, and licorice all emerging from the glass. Mature, yet also youthful, with full-bodied richness, plenty of mid-palate depth, and sweet tannin, drink this beautiful Côte Rôtie anytime over the coming decade or more.

The 2006 Cote Rotie la Landonne is a head turner that has more depth and density than most in this charming vintage. Cured meats, toasted spices, licorice and black currant aromas and flavors all emerge from this full-bodied, concentrated Cote Rotie that has decadent amounts of fruit and plenty of sweet tannin. I'd happily drink bottles anytime over the coming 15+ years.
Deep ruby. Strong spiced cherry and dark berry aromas lifted by a potent cracked pepper quality. Very fresh, spicy redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are joined on the back by exotic floral pastilles and tangy minerality. Extremely graceful wine.
Ruby-red. Deep cassis and kirsch aromas are complicated by smoked meat, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and violet. A bright note of black pepper emerges with air and carries onto the palate, adding vivacity to the deep dark fruit and bitter chocolate flavors. Finishes strong, with bright mineral tang and a hint of blood orange.
