The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a plush, dark wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Succulent black cherry, smoke, leather, tobacco and licorice build in this decidedly powerful, at times, bombastic wine. I would give the 2014 another 6-12 months to come together and absorb all of its oak. Even so, this looks to be a Cabernet to drink over the near and medium term.

The ruby/plum-colored 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot) offers plenty of chocolatey dark fruits, spice, and dried earth/soil notes in a medium-bodied, rounded, enjoyable style. It’s best drunk over the coming 7-8 years.
His 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. This is a 1,100-case cuvee showing loads of blueberry and blackcurrant fruit, licorice, charcoal embers and baking spices. It is dense, full-bodied, ripe and much in the style of 2014 with its lusciousness and elegant precociousness. Drink it over the next 15 or so years.
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is powerful, rich and intense. Dark chocolate, plum, black cherry, smoke and licorice, along with a healthy dollop of Merlot, give the 2014 much of its brooding, intense personality. Despite its Spring Mountain origins, the 2014 looks like it will drink nicely pretty much upon release.
